Operation from dual supplies also is possible as long as the difference between the two supplies is 2 V to 36 V, and VCC is at least 1.5 V more positive than the input common-mode voltage. Current drain is independent of the supply voltage. The outputs can be connected to other open-collector outputs to achieve wired-AND relationships. GND NC 4IN+ NC 4IN- NC - No internal connection The LM139 and LM139A are characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of -55C to 125C. The LM239 and LM239A are characterized for operation from -25C to 125C. The LM339 and LM339A are characterized for operation from 0C to 70C. The LM2901 is characterized for operation from -40C to 125C. These are stress ratings only, and functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under "recommended operating conditions" is not implied. Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability. NOTES: 1. All voltage values, except differential voltages, are with respect to network ground. 2. Differential voltages are at IN+ with respect to IN-. 3. Short circuits from outputs to VCC can cause excessive heating and eventual destruction. 4. Maximum power dissipation is a function of TJ(max), JA, and TA. The maximum allowable power dissipation at any allowable ambient temperature is PD = (TJ(max) - TA)/JA. Operating at the absolute maximum TJ of 150C can affect reliability. 5. The package thermal impedance is calculated in accordance with JESD 51-7. 6. Maximum power dissipation is a function of TJ(max), JC, and TC. The maximum allowable power dissipation at any allowable case temperature is PD = (TJ(max) - TC)/JC. Operating at the absolute maximum TJ of 150C can affect reliability. 7. The package thermal impedance is calculated in accordance with MIL-STD-883. 4 POST OFFICE BOX 655303 * DALLAS, TEXAS 75265 LM139, LM139A, LM239, LM239A, LM339, LM339A, LM2901, LM2901V QUAD DIFFERENTIAL COMPARATORS SLCS006L - OCTOBER 1979 - REVISED JUNE 2004 electrical characteristics at specified free-air temperature, VCC = 5 V (unless otherwise noted) PARAMETER TEST CONDITIONS VCC = 5 V to 30 V, VIC = VICR(min), VO = 1.4 V VO = 1.4 V VO = 1.4 V TA 25C Full range 25C IIO IIB Input offset current Input bias current Full range 25C Full range 25C Full range VCC = 7.5 V, VO = -5 V to 5 V VID = 1 V VID = -1 V, VID = -1 V, VO = 2.5 V, VOH = 5 V VOH = 30 V IOL = 4 mA VOL = 1.5 V No load 0 to VCC-1.5 0 to VCC-2 200 0.1 1 150 400 700 6 16 0.8 2 6 16 0.8 2 150 -25 3 LM139 MIN TYP 2 MAX 5 9 25 100 -100 -300 0 to VCC-1.5 0 to VCC-2 50 200 0.1 1 400 700 mV mA mA -25 3 MIN LM139A TYP 1 MAX 2 mV 4 25 100 -100 -300 nA nA UNIT VIO Input offset voltage VICR Common-mode input-voltage range Large-signal differential-voltage amplification High-level output current Low-level output voltage Low-level output current Supply current (four comparators) V AVD 25C 25C Full range 25C Full range 25C 25C V/mV nA A IOH VOL IOL ICC All characteristics are measured with zero common-mode input voltage, unless otherwise specified.
